Raymond A Scheffler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Raymond A. Scheffler, age 86, of Carleton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2018 in his home. Born on September 2, 1931 in Wyandotte, he was the son of Peter and Mary (Sikorski) Scheffler. On June 2, 1956 he married Lillian Boron in St. Patrick Catholic Church. He was employed with Unistrut Corporation as a Laborer for 39 years until retiring in June of 1992. Raymond attended Mosebar school in Sumpter Township and was a member of Divine Grace, (St. Patrick) Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his one-of-a-kind personality and the ability to light up a room with his sense of humor. He had a heart of gold who loved to talk about the good old days. He loved spending time at their cabin in Lewiston, riding on his John Deere tractor and golf cart and listening to polka music, but most of all he cherished the time he spent with his grandchilden and great grandchilden,. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 6 sisters Nettie, Laura, Orneta, Ada, Dorothy, and Eleanor; 4 brothers Donald, Robert, Richard and Archie. Left to hold his precious memories is his son, Raymond Scheffler of Carleton; daughters, Cheryl (John) Bobich of Monroe, Janet (Gary) Bobich of Maybee, Karen Scheffler of Carleton and Michelle (Trevor) Hill of Rockwood; sister Audrey (Stan) Babik of Lewiston. 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Divine Grace (St Patrick) Catholic Church on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 10:00 am. He will lie instate from 9:30 am until time of service. Father Giancarb Ghezzi will officiate the service. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Carleton, Michigan. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
