Marvin F. Malwitz, age 94, of Taylor, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital in Taylor, Michigan. Born on June 2, 1924 in Wyandotte, Michigan, he was the son of Frank and Minnie (Fisher) Malwitz. On July 11, 1953 he married Shirley Boike in Wyandotte, MI. Marvin served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He was employed with Pennwalt as a Chemical Operator for 40 years until retiring in 1983. Marvin was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Disable American Veterans and Brownstown and Taylor Seniors. He was an usher and trustee for St. John's Lutheran Church, enjoyed traveling, bowling and his vegetable garden. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Loren Ralph Malwitz and brother Leonard Malwitz. Surviving is his sons Alvin Frank (Tracey) Malwitz and Bruce Marvin Malwitz; daughter, Ellen Marie Malwitz, 5 grandchildren, Annie, Isabella, Maxwell, Asia, Eden, 2 great-grandchildren, Aidan and Legend. Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 am. He will lie instate from 10:00 am until time of service. Rev. Jeffrey E. Wade will officiate the service. Burial will be in Michigan Memorial Park, Huron Township, Michigan. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the St. Johns Building Fund.
