Cynthia M. Steinert

Cynthia M. Steinert, age 73, of Gibraltar, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at ProMedica Regional Hospital in Monroe, Michigan. Born on July 19, 1948 in Wyandotte, Michigan, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elma (Stacks) Cholette. On November 24, 1967 she married Jay Steinert in Trenton, Michigan. She was a Certified Public Accountant. Her accounting firm Steinert & Associates, Inc. has been located in Flat Rock since 2004. Cynthia was a member of Michigan Association of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Soroptimist International. During her free time she enjoyed gardening, sewing and crafting. She loved to spend time with her family and adored her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers. She is survived by her husband, Jay Steinert; sons, Jasen (Kathleen) Steinert and Leonard (Kassidy) Steinert; grandchildren Trevor, Jay, Tyler (Morgan), Jacob, Kyle, Gabe and Ariel; brothers Thomas (Sue) Cholette, Randolph (Kami) Cholette and Kenneth (Debbie) Cholette. A memorial visitation will be held at Community Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The service will begin at 12:00 pm. Pastor Grayson Grenz will officiate the service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Karmanos Cancer Institute Karmanos.org or any Hospice organization.
