Blanche Patricia Riley, age 88, of Carleton, Michigan passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 in the comfort of her home. Born on March 17, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of Armond and Dorothy (Robinson) Roberts. On March 14, 1959 she married Edward Riley in Detroit. Blanche liked playing cards, taking cruises, shopping at Costco, canning vegetables, cooking and baking. She loved to sit in the sun in her back yard and read books, at one time she loved to sew for her children and grandchildren. The family loved her sketti. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers: Bob, Gordon, Claude, Jack and Jimmy; five sisters: Dorothy Roberts, Jean Gendron, Ruth Klusener, Shirley Konopka and Betty Roberts. She is survived by her son Michael Riley of CA; daughters Terri (John) Laskowski of NY and Jacqueline (Brian) Nocella of New Boston; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11:00 am. Todd Lipa will officiate the service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St John's Lutheran Church, Waltz, Michigan.
