Alice Cordovado, 71, of Carleton Michigan, passed away April 26, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Born August 11, 1947 in Dearborn, MI, she was the daughter of Alexander and Ann (Fialka) Krill. She married her best friend Raymond Eugene Cordovado in June 17, 1967 at St. Alphonsus, Dearborn, MI. They lived together in Taylor, Michigan before relocating to Carleton, 43 years ago. Alice was an accomplished pianist and an avid musician. She passed on her love of music to both her children and grandchildren. Once her children went to school full-time, so did she. Alice received her Bachelor’s degree in Music and Early Childhood Education and a double Master’s degree in Education and Early Childhood Development from Eastern Michigan University. During her career as a teacher, she taught at St. Stephen's Catholic School and the Airport Community School District for many years. She had the opportunity to touch the lives of many children sharing with them the beauty and wonder of our world. Alice was known for her kind and generous spirit. She and Raymond would often open their home to invite guests for the holidays, especially when their families were far away. Alice always made people feel welcome. She was known for making the most amazing pasta, pedaheh (Ukrainian perogies), as well as her famous pineapple cheesecakes! Alice was a devout Catholic volunteering much of her time at church. Her loving spirit and kind nature will be missed by many. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Alan. Alice is survived by her husband Raymond Cordovado of Carleton; children, Edward (Suzanne) Cordovado of GA, Daniel (Marla) Cordovado of Luna Pier, Amanda (Nicholas) Malcho of Carleton and seven grandchildren; sister Annette (Geno) Urbisci of FL; sister-in-laws Kathy Krill of Dearborn and Dolores Tudor of Taylor. Alice will be instate May 3, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Roch Catholic Church in Flat Rock, MI. Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Immediately following, the burial will take place at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude's Hospital.
